European Jodo-Shinshu

About this Blog

The first reason of existence for this blog is: the preparation of European Shin Meetings.
For the time being, we use this blog only for organizational matters, not for discussions about Buddhist or Shin-Buddhist topics - yet!
We are planning to gradually extend the purpose of this medium, and thus being able to cooperate more and more via the internet.

We welcome your contributions, comments and ideas.

Thank you all

2011-Meeting in KyotoPosted by Frank Kobs (DE) Wed, September 14, 2011 07:50:53

Dear Jerome and all Dharma friends who have met in Kyoto,

I took want to express my dearest gratitude to all who I´ve met at this gathering. Especially I want to thank IABC and Hongwanji International Center who made this event possible for me and all the others. Their help and consideration is not to describe in words. Once again it could be proved that the European Jodo Shinshu Sangha and district is very much alive and I hope that our mutual efforts in spreading the teaching will continue in many years to come. I was glad and happy to have met so many wonderful people and I feel honored to be part of such a wonderful Sangha. I am looking forward of seeing you all next year at the EKO-Ji Düsseldorf. I am sure we will hear or see each other and be in touch by many means until our next European Shin Conference here in Germany. I´m Looking forward to it a lot.

With best wishes to all

In Gassho

2011-Meeting in KyotoPosted by Jérôme Ducor (CH) Sat, August 20, 2011 08:59:25
Dear Fons,

Thank you very much for your excellent work in adding the rômaji to the Japanese text of the Shûsô gangô sahô booklet. I was not able to do it. I add it to my site :
http://www.pitaka.ch/hoyo.htm

Eventually Japanese style music transcription is better than no musical transcription at all !

Thank you again and see you soon in Kyôto !

2011-Meeting in KyotoPosted by Tomomasa Teramoto (JP) Thu, March 03, 2011 13:24:00

Thank you all, especially Thomas for the information for accomodation.

I have another information. Tomoiki-so (the seminar house of Ryukoku Univ. and place of the conference 2011 kyoto) has rooms to stay. The organaizers of 2011 kyoto reserve five rooms yesterday. (Tomoiki-so can be reserved only 6 month in advance). Each room has a capacity of five. Using a room by one person, the price is 5,000 yen. By Two and more, the price per person is 4,000 yen. (for example, using a room by three, the price is 5,000 + 4,000 × 2 =13,000 yen. )

The further information will be sent by the organizers soon.
